these are a few of my favourite things

music sweet music...i sometimes sit and float away wondering how my life would be without it. music transcends every man-made boundary, tugs at the heart strings, fills you with sorrow, joy, love, has the amazing ability to take you back to a particular time and place locked in memory...it's audible beauty like nothing else on earth. (clearly by now you have gathered i LOVE music and would never turn up the opportunity to break into song...in the car, shower, kitchen, everywhere...).

liquid liner and gel eyeliner(applied with a watercolour paintbrush for perfection).

i love secret shopping, fashion, flowing fabric, vintage belts, boho bags, gladiators, jewels and other accessories.

cape town with it's cold wind, beautiful mountain, ice cold sea, gorgeous artsy types and boho vibe that i feel so attached to.

my fringe changes my mood with each path i take, it deserves a place here.

i love baking, and the smell of baked goods...the way the vanilla gets into your pores and for a good few hours, that sweet smell clings you to like nothing else.

john mayer...and the striking resemblance to jason patric wearing shades in the lost boys.

hats to hide my mop of wavy hair when it refuses to work...god bless the panama hat, the poor boy, the beanie, the beach straw hat, the tribly and the bowler.love you all.

ice cream, the cheap R2.50 water orange flavoured ice lollies are amazing on humid durban afternoons (today's lollie count:3).

i love playing games, 30 seconds, singstar, pictionary, monopoly, cards, poker, wii, scrabble.

post-it's, notes, doodling on the side of notes.


and lastly, i love my family friends dearly, and love people who understand this.

the first one

so it's not my first blogging attempt i must be honest here...my first was all smooth sailing until i lost interest and updated alot less. i realised jus last week that it was because i wasn't sharing all of my love...so fingers crossed that this time all works out.

this will be like my online moleskine, filled with little bits of everything that appeals to me...music, fashion, languages, cupcakes, trends, society, matters of the heart...i hope you'll find it all somehow useful. expect to find quirky commentary, my favourite peaks from lookbook and polyvore, new little sentences from my livemocha language studies, scanned in sketches of mine in my quest of architecture, along with a monthly round up post reporting on everything that matters to me.
